David Bazan

David Bazan is among the performers at Next BIG Nashville 2010.

Multi-genre, multi-date and multi-venue Nashville music festival Next BIG Nashville has announced its initial round of 2010 offerings, including a hunk of performers and industry conference speakers.

On the stage side: The fest, running this year from September 29-October 2, continues to broaden its embrace of out-of-towners, bringing in blog star/California punk provider Wavves and fellow blog-beloved band Yeasayer, Pedro the Lion head David Bazan, indie stalwarts Elf Power, Saddle Creek newcomers the Mynabirds and others. Next BIG Nashville 2010 of course collects a bunch of local favorites too, including hometown pop standouts Kyle Andrews, Andrew Belle, Katie Herzig, Madi Diaz and the Silver Seas, Americana talents Roman Candle, prog-rockers the Protomen and many others.

Industry folks attending the conference side of the event -- the Leadership Music Digital Summit -- will learn from a mix of well-established panelists and speakers, Pandora CEO Tim Westergren, Atlantic Records A&R VP Steve Robertson, artist manager Troy Carter (Lady Gaga) and BigChampagne head Eric Garland among them.

In total, some 150-plus acts will take stages at more than a dozen local venues over the course of the shindig.

Fest-goers can grab passes at early-bird discount prices now, via nbnsummit.eventbrite.com. A VIP badge, which offers admission to the conference, showcases and VIP events, runs $215 until August 31 (regular price is $250). Music wristbands run $40 until August 31 (they'll go up to $50).
